Managed full stack engineers across three teams in order to support marketing operations, personalization and identity resolution.

As a manager of data engineering, managed a team of 6 data engineers to build batch and near real time data processing pipelines delivering $1M+ in value quarter over quarter. Led team to build identity resolution, audience selection and attribution data products and services.

Principal Data Engineer

Spearheaded the ideation and creation of the first customer data warehouse enabling a 200% increase in email engagement using Spark, Scala and Airflow. Designed and built data models for optimal extraction, transformation, and consumption of camera, app, email and marketing data using SQL, Python and Scala which is currently used by six+ teams and 75% of the product and marketing org for their business reporting. Devised multiple data models tables to solve business problems resulting in a 30% reduction in processing time and a 2x improvement in team efficiency. Designed and implemented company wide data quality and data cataloging tooling and processes leading to hundreds of hours saved company wide.

Changing Expectations is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to providing K-12 and higher education STEM learning opportunities to alleviate diverse talent shortages and advance the future STEM and computing workforce by inspiring and preparing K-12 and college students. We particularly focus on preparing and supporting those who are underrepresented in STEM fields: female, low income, and students of color–to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math related fields. Changing Expectations mission is to provide the highest impact STEM and computer coding programs to inspire young people from diverse backgrounds and prepare them to pursue STEM careers. We focus our work on reaching out to students who might otherwise not have access to quality STEM education programs.
